Project Details
I’ve been working with Haypi in China now since the dawn of mobile gaming and assisting them with all manner of projects. We first started working together on the smash hit Haypi Kingdom and then moved onto many others. This time it was Haypi Dungeon (now called Clash of Dungeon) and they needed the full package. Branding, game art and game UI. This was an absolutely amazing project to work on as I love dark and spooky settings, so getting to make some creepy dungeons and spooky characters was too much fun! The UI was fully illustrated from the ground up too which was just a joy. I love creating illustrated UI, it just feels so individual.
The game is available now and its turned out really nicely! Go take a look!
Ethos
UI or user interface design as it’s properly known, has become incredibly important with the growth of interactive media. In one way or another people are interacting with devices in almost every part of their everyday lives and making that easier is always key. Games, apps, programs, website’s, they’re all of equal importance. For a UI solution to work its best it has to be underpinned with fully thought out UX design and only then can both work in harmony. I always aim to ensure that every UI design I create serves the user in the best possible way whilst at the same time looking great!
