Marvel Cosmic Invasion

Game Website Design

Project Details

The term dream project is used all too often, but creating the website for not only a Marvel game, but a new pixel Marvel game by Dotemu was the definition of a dream project!

I’ve had the honor of working with Dotemu many times in the past, dating back to the early mobile port of R-Type, so we have a long-standing relationship, one that I value greatly.

When the team got in touch about Marvel Cosmic Invasion and their need for a kick-ass new game website to showcase it, I almost bit their hands off! The game is a visual masterpiece, so the website had to be the very same. With a superb set of assets, I set to work on the design. This was one of those designs that I just poured my life into and couldn’t put down.

Alongside the technical wizardry of Code32, we included all manner of visual effects to bring the website UI to life, including mouse-controlled video scroll effects, parallax, you name it. A dream project in no uncertain terms.

Thanks Dotemu, you guys rock!

About the Game

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a 2D side-scrolling beat’em up developed by Tribute Games and published by DotEmu, released on December 1, 2025. The game is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Linux.

Inspired by the Marvel Comics Annihilation storyline, the plot follows heroes battling the villain Annihilus and his Annihilation Wave from the Negative Zone. The gameplay features a unique Cosmic Swap tag-team mechanic, allowing players to choose two characters and switch between them instantly to create combos and special attacks.
