Project Details

The brief for Democracy 3 Africa required me to take the Democracy 3 game (which I’d had the pleasure of working on originally) and give it an African themed overhaul. I was asked to inject a degree of character that would make the game feel like a true standalone game and not simply an add on to the original title.

As I didn’t want to take this down a clichéd route and also didn’t want this to feel too much like the original Democracy 3, I had to find a middle ground. Using soft sandy brown tones and the accent colours from the various African flags, a new look started to take shape. The final result was something that felt distinctly African but at the same time modern too. A fun project!
