Project Details

Fortunes Deep was a wonderful UI and branding project to work on. The best part was it was a complete departure from your usual pirate/high seas game in regards to its requirements for the UI. Instead of the wooden, aged feel that most games go for using this theme, the UI had to be light, crisp and fresh. To ensure that we kept the feel of the setting we added in lots of little details to make it feel richer overall and not just a ‘clean UI’. So lots of little intricate flourishes were added to almost every UI component. This gave each element an almost hand made feel.

The brand was great fun too as that had to be illustrated and really feel as though it could tell a tale of the high seas just by its appearance alone. I loved illustrating the Kraken as I’d been wanting to draw one for ages!

Its always such a pleasure to work on game UI projects and I genuinely relish every single one!
