Project Details

I got just a little bit excited when industry legend Chet Faliszek of Half-Life, Portal and Left 4 Dead fame got in touch regarding his upcoming title The Anacrusis.

Chet and the Stray Bombay team needed a brand and website creating. The theme and creative direction of the game looked absolutely jaw dropping. It was oozing in retro 60/70’s sci-fi style and the prospect of working in such a style was very exciting indeed.

The brand design had to echo the feel of the game, specifically the elegant lines of the ship’s interior. I was provided with a plethora of fantastic concept art and renders from the game to wet my appetite and get my mind in the right space. We explored a variety of concepts which we tailored down to the final design that you see today. I especially love how the brand has been animated by the team at Stray Bombay as it fits the feel perfectly.

With the brand complete it was onto the site. This came together very smoothly as I already had a deep understanding of the games direction by this point and the now established brand further guided that direction.
