Ironstrike was the second VR project I’d worked on for E McNeill and it was a total blast. This time around it was for a VR hand to hand combat game which was something I’d certainly never worked on before!
We started out with the branding which had to bring in symbolic elements from the game with sharp edges and an overall battle aged feel. Once settled we moved onto they key art. This had to bring together the core character armour in all their vibrancy. E wasn’t looking for something dark and sinister like you often get with games of this genre, he wanted something a little different with lots of colour and light.
